Weekly Clutter Challenge for the week of Nov. 2, 2009
With the Holidays upon us.....our pantries (or food cupboards) need to prepped and ready to go before the cooking begins.
Use this week's challenge to get your pantry ready for the weeks ahead.
First, Remove all items from you pantry and using a mild dishsoap solution, wipe out the inside of your pantry (or cupboard).
Second, toss any food cans or items that are outdated.
Third, sort thru items you don't need or use and donate them to a friend, neighbor or food bank.
Fourth, organize and return the food items into the pantry by category or by menu.
Fifth, make a list and then take an inventory of the common items needed for cooking during the holidays. Flour, Sugar, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, Spices, Powered Sugar, Yeast, Brown Sugar....etc
Replenish these items over the next few weeks and add them to your freshly organized pantry.
When those cooking days start to happen, you will be set to go.
Added Tip: Start your holiday cooking menu so you can get started on a list of items you will need to have available for cooking.
